Planned releases

Two IUCLID releases are made per year: a major release in October, and a service release in April. The IUCLID format is modified only in the major release in October. Releases are scheduled for the last Wednesday of the month. The IUCLID instances hosted by ECHA in the ECHA Cloud Services are updated whenever new functionality becomes available, but the IUCLID format it uses changes only once a year, in October.

The information below aims at highlighting the work planned for the web interface, particularly the remaining development to complete the transition from the IUCLID Classic interface to the web user interface. As such, this is not an exhaustive list, and is subject to change.

October 2020, planned features

Key development to complete the transition to the web interface

  • Advanced search for Dossiers created from Substances, Mixtures and Articles. This is based on the advanced search that has already been implemented for datasets.
  • Bulk delete of Substances, Mixtures, Articles, and IUCLID documents.
  • Bulk export of Substances, Mixtures, and Articles.
  • Inbound references: this provides a view of which IUCLID documents and entities are referenced by another document or entity. For example, to view the test material entity referenced by an endpoint study record for Acute Toxicity: Dermal.
  • PNEC calculator.
  • Dossier creation from a Category.

Additional web interface improvements

  • GHS document simplified view applied in Substance and Mixture datasets, including a labelling calculator.
  • Navigation tree enhanced for Substance and Mixture datasets, based on the current implementation for Dossiers. This includes the possibility to create, delete, and copy documents directly from the section documents shown in the navigation tree.
  • Print Dossier to PDF, with advanced options to filter the printed dataset, Dossier or document.
  • Full print to PDF: including all linked entities and their documents, for example, Mixture in Mixture components.
  • Selecting a Reference substance from the ECHA repository, to fetch and re-use the Reference substances disseminated by ECHA.
  • Search by UUID in the listings pages for datasets of type Substance, Mixture, and Article.
