EU REACH

Creating a REACH registration dossier

This exercise material aims to give you your first contact with IUCLID 6 and the Validation assistant prior building your registration dossier for the REACH 2018 registration deadline.

It is recommended to read the presentation first (about one hour) and then to continue with the hands-on exercise (about one hour too).

The exercise instructions are followed by the key. The key provides you technical advice only, no regulatory advice. Note that the training substance dataset does not include real data and it should not be taken as a model for meeting the REACH requirements. Further information on dossier creation can be found in the ECHA manual How to prepare registration and PPORD dossiers.

EU Biocidal Products Regulation - BPR

The scientific information provided in the following exercise is not necessarily accurate but will help you to carry out the necessary steps to complete a biocidal products application. It provides technical advice only, no regulatory advice. Further information on BPR dossier creation can be found in the BSM Technical guide: how to prepare a biocides dossier.

SPC training session for Industry, online event (24/10/2023)

This training session is organised in the context of the transition from the SPC Editor to IUCLID to prepare the Summary of Product Characteristics under the EU BPR.

The recording of the training session is available on the IUCLID 6 YouTube channel.

You will find below all necessary materials needed to complete the IUCLID-relevant parts of this training:

From the training session on 24/10/2023, until the 14/11/2023, a SliDo session was kept opened to collect any questions related to the training. The questions and answers have been gathered in this document.

Biocides Day, ECHA, Helsinki (29/10/2019)

The presentation lists the most important improvements brought by IUCLID 6.4 for biocides. It shows how to create a mixture/product and a substance dataset in the web user interface of IUCLID. It explains how a biocidal product dossier should be structued, how to navigate through the dossier, and how to use two useful tools: report generator and comparison tool. It also explains where we are in the transition to the web user interface, and what improvements are planned.
This is a self-explanatory presentation, in which the sound has been replaced by the text boxes explaining the topic presented on the slide.

Biocides Stakeholders Day, ECHA, Helsinki (25/10/2018)

The aim of this exercise is to get familiar with the new web user interface, and learn how to create a biocidal product dataset for the product containing the technical active substance generated in situ.

The presentation lists the most important improvements brought by IUCLID 6.3 for the biocides and reminds what is the correct structure of the biocidal product dossier. The IUCLID demo gives some insight on how to report a biocidal product family.

It is recommended to see the presentation and the demo first (~40 minutes) and to continue with the hands-on exercise (~40 minutes).

Biocides Europe 2017 Conference, Vienna (04/12/2017)

The aim of this exercise is to practice how to edit a biocidal product dataset (how to create a substance dataset, how to link it to a biocidal product dataset, how insert packaging data, how to use use links between sections 7.1 and 7.6), how to create and export a BPR dossier, and how to generate different reports based on a BPR dataset or dossier. The exercise instruction contains additional information on IUCLID functionalities, that are not necessarily needed to perform the exercise but might help you in understanding IUCLID better.

It is recommended to read the presentation first (~30 minutes) and to continue with the hands-on exercise (~2 h).

Biocides Stakeholders Day, ECHA, Helsinki (27/09/2017)

The aim of this exercise is to practice how to edit a biocidal product dataset, how to create and export a BPR dossier, and how to generate different reports based on a BPR dataset or dossier. Additionally, the presentation gives some insight on reporting the biocidal product family and introduces the new approach to report a technical active substance generated in situ.

It is recommended to read the presentation first (~25 minutes) and to continue with the hands-on exercise (~40 minutes).
