IUCLID 6 April 2022 release and information about future updates

The April 2022 release is now available. It does not only contain fixes and improvements for all users but also brings technical improvements relevant to system administrators. The next major update of IUCLID including format changes will take place in April 2023.

IUCLID service releases are published twice a year, in April and October, and bring new features, fixes and improvements. While the full scope of this release can be found in the release notes, here are some highlights of version 6.14.3:

  • Additional search options
  • Bulk deletion of documents within a dataset
  • Single Sign On (SSO) support
  • PostgreSQL can now be chosen as database type

ECHA Cloud Services users will see their IUCLID instances being upgraded automatically to the latest version starting as of today.

A webinar, dedicated to the new release, will take place on the 12th of May. You can already share your questions about the release using SliDo and we will answer them daily until the webinar.

We also wanted to share information about upcoming updates. In the past, major updates of IUCLID, including format changes, happened in October, each year. After a review of the release plans and organisation, and in consultation with the OECD IUCLID user group, the release schedule has been updated. As a result, format changes will now be part of the April releases, i.e., the next one will be in April 2023. The October 2022 release will not contain format changes.
