Industry data contribution
Project overview
Previously unpublished data on chemicals tested to develop medicines is now publicly available. The information can contribute, among other purposes, to the development of predictive computational testing models.
The project is led by the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) representing the biopharmaceutical industry operating in Europe. The pharmaceutical companies participating to the initiative are Bayer AG, Boehringer Ingelheim, F.Hoffmann-La Roche, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Merck KGaA, and Novartis.
The dataset contains information about the hazard properties of 94 substances from 517 studies (last updated on 17.05.2023). The list of substances and the data contributors are available in this index.
The figure below indicates the number of study summaries available per type.
Data contribution download package (17th of May 2023)
The data are made available as a zip archive containing IUCLID (i6z) dossiers. The right to access and use the datasets offered by the members of EFPIA is open to everyone, subject to the acceptance of a license agreement.
